Compensation Analysis:
Members (Individuals, Employers and Recruiters/Outplacement firms, that have joined Medical Staffing Systems) have access to the unique Compensation Analysis feature. It is designed to provide System members with current base compensation information. Information for both Opportunities (positions) and Individual Profiles listed in the System is returned in the search results. Compensation information can be calculated based on occupation and specialty, experience level, organization level, employment facility, and geographic region. The aggregated results include:
Total number of full-time and part-time Opportunities
Median full-time and part-time compensation offered
Maximum full-time and part-time compensation offered
Total number of full-time and part-time Individual Profiles
Median full-time and part-time compensation requested
Minimum full-time and part-time compensation requested
We chose median, maximum offered and minimum required in order to present the most value to users. Employers will be able to use this information to help determine if they are offering compensation that will attract the applicant pool necessary to fill their openings.
Individuals can evaluate their requirements to ensure they are in line with compensation being offered by employers. In addition, individuals who are relocating from one geographical area to another, changing from one specialty or sub-specialty to another, comparing full-time opportunities to part-time, etc., can use the information to help determine an appropriate “requested” compensation level for the new position.
When entering Positions or Individual Profiles, remember that the compensation amounts you enter in the system are NOT VIEWABLE by any other party.
Make sure you use compensation amounts that are realistic. The unique matching features of the System will result in missed Profiles or Opportunities, if realistic compensation amounts are not used. An Individual will miss Opportunities that may be of interest, if the requested compensation is unrealistically high. And, employment Opportunities may be overlooked by qualified Individuals, if the offered compensation is unrealistically low.
The value of any statistical analysis increases as the number of items in the analysis increases. We encourage licensed health care professionals and certified health care support personnel to enter their professional profile in the System, to support the goals of the Compensation Analysis feature.
Individuals who are not actively seeking a new career opportunity can mark their Individual Profile as “Inactive”. Inactive Career Objective Profiles are not viewable by any other party. However, the information in both “Active” and ”Inactive” Profiles will help ensure users receive the most benefit from the Compensation Analysis feature.
